Full refurbishment of a residential development of 10 apartments in C/Marina, Barcelona.
This residential project is characterized by having a clear modernist influence, being that the building is located two streets away from Sagrada Familia, with clear views to the church from one of its facades, and was built with traditional l’Eixample architecture techniques.
The main intention here was to bring the modernist character into the interior spaces of these newly design flats to attract both local and foreigners, yet with a modern touch giving it a fresh image.
In line with this concept, we used ceramics replicating traditional patterns on the floorings, old style moldings on the ceilings, high scurtins on all painted walls and wood carpentry with the classic type of cutting. On top of this, in order to give it a contemporary image, we used a modern color scheme based in the use of very dark turquoise green and deep red that simultaneously adds a lot of character to the building.
